Spider-Man 3 Reveals Its REAL Title With Video Teaser
The upcoming sequel to Spider-Man: Far From Home has received an official title: Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Sony Pictures announced the news via Spider-Man‘s official Twitter account with a brief teaser featuring Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon. In the video, Holland emerges from director Jon Watt’s office, looking disappointed. “They gave us a fake name again,” he tells Zendaya and Batalon..
The No Way Home title reveal follows some social media shenanigans from Holland, Zendaya and Batalon. Last night, each actor took to Instagram to announce the title for the upcoming film. However, they all received — and posted — different names. Holland got the ball rolling by posting a new still from the film. With the title, Spider-Man: Phone Home. While Batalon took to his page with a different photo and the title Spider-Man: Homewrecker. Later, Zendaya posted a third photo and a third title: Spider-Man: Home Slice. Obviously, this sparked confusion and much debate amongst fans. Who quickly turned the Spider-Man title reveal into a meme on social media.
Although details are sparse, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige previously confirmed it will tie into both Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and WandaVision, as Benedict Cumberbatch will reprise his role as Doctor Strange in all three projects.
Additionally, rumors indicate Jamie Foxx will reprise his role as Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2. While Alfred Molina returns as Doctor Octopus. Reports indicate that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will return as their respective Spider-Men roles, although those reports have not been confirmed.
Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jamie Foxx, Alfred Molina and Benedict Cumberbatch. The film arrives in theaters Dec. 17.
